What is non-fiction?
There are two types of writing and non-fiction is one of them. Nonfiction is based on facts, it must be true information. There are also different kinds of writing in non-fiction, which are narrative writing, expository writing, persuasive writing, and descriptive writing.
Narrative Writing:
Tells a true story about a person, event, or place
Expository Writing:
Its purpose is to explain or inform a reader about a certain topic.
Persuasive Writing:
Writer chooses a topic and argues against an opposing side. The writer will use facts and information to support their argument while trying to influence his or her readers’ opinions.
Descriptive Writing:
Use sensory language, rich details, and figurative language to help the reader get a visual of what the writer is trying to describe.
